Arrange hospital admission if:
- There are signs of sepsis
- The infection progresses rapidly
- The woman is haemodynamically unstable or immunocompromised
Breast feeding: Antibiotic options recommended are appropriate if patient breastfeeding. Patient should continue breastfeeding if possible, including from infected breast. If breastfeeding is not possible then advise the woman to express milk until she is able to resume breastfeeding from that breast.

Non severe penicillin allergy:
Cefalexin
1g TDS
7 days
Severe penicillin allergy:
Clarithromycin
500mg BD
7 days
