Asymptomatic Candida
Warning
Candida are common colonisers of the urinary tract. In the asymptomatic patient, candiduria almost always represents colonisation, and elimination of underlying risk factors, such as indwelling catheters, is often adequate to eradicate candiduria.
In patients with complex urology/urological manipulation/candida isolated from ureteric urine/stones; treatment may be considered after discussion with urology/microbiology.
