| Recommended Antibiotic | Flucloxacillin 1g every 6 hours orally |
| Penicillin allergy | Clarithromycin 500mg every 12 hours orally |

Review Sepsis in Obstetrics
Take blood cultures (10mls in each bottle) in patients with a fever or evidence of sepsis.
Recommended duration = IV and oral = 7 days

*Metronidazole can be added if signs of abscess- 400mg Oral, 8 hourly
(500mg IV, 8 hourly if oral route not available). Refer to breast unit if abscess suspected.
