The Department of Medicine of the Elderly provides a range of services for older adults living with frailty in NHS Borders as well as a syncope clinic where we also review younger patients.

Services

Acute Frailty inpatient Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment services including:

  • Frailty Unit
  • Orthogeriatrics
  • Inpatient rehabilitation in Ward 14 & Kelso Community Hospital
  • Urgent assessment through ambulatory care

Hospital at Home

Outpatient Clinics:

  • Syncope Clinic
  • Falls and General Medicine of the Elderly
  • Elderly Parkinson’s Clinic
