All neurology SCI Gateway referrals are triaged by Dr David Simpson

"Advice only" referrals:

If the patient is known to neurology (and has been seen within the last 3 years) the GP should email the consultant who has seen the patient.

If the patient is not known to neurology, the GP should email the neurology inbox: neurology@borders.scot.nhs.uk

CHI number should always be included in email referrals

Where there is a suspicion of brain cancer/tumour (e.g. cognitive changes, Cancer/HIV, focal signs, LOC..etc), please refer via Brain and CNS Cancers | Right Decisions
