About this toolkit

This toolkit has been created for use by healthcare professionals. A cancer prehabilitation toolkit for patients is also available on the Right Decision Service.

Sign-off and ongoing development of the toolkit is the responsibility of the CfSD pathways sign-off group and complies with the CfSD National Clinical Pathways process. 

As part of the CfSD national clinical pathway process, this toolkit is reviewed and approved by the clinical leads in the national cancer prehabilitation oversight group (CPOG).

This toolkit was published in February 2026. Review will usually take place every three years. 

CfSD has obtained a copyright license for the DASI questionnaire.

All other content has been checked for copyright compliance.

Icons are sourced from Flaticon.com, accessed through the licence held by Tactuum Ltd as software provider of the RDS platform. 

Evidence derives from existing published guidelines. This was reviewed and approved via the CfSD Pathway Governance Process.

Messages received through the RDS Feedback form will be forwarded by the RDS team to all key contacts and the team mailbox.

The content was risk assessed as part of the internal CfSD pathway governance process. No risks were identified.

Functional testing, usability testing and user acceptance testing was completed for the pathways in this toolkit in November and December 2025.
