Digital Interventions CYP (Children, young people and carer programmes)

Warning

Referral criteria

  • Digital Interventions – CYP are suitable for young people aged 15 to 18 presenting with mild to moderate levels of anxiety and low mood, as well as for parents and carers of children and young people with mental health difficulties (see below for full list of programmes).
  • Young people aged 12-15 can be considered for the programme based on clinical judgement of their ability to engage.
  • Users must have access to a computer/tablet/smartphone and be able to access the internet
  • Patients must also have access to an email address

Additional information

    • Digital interventions are unsuitable for anyone expressing thoughts of self-harm or suicide, or where there are any documented/perceived risks including child protection concernss
    • Users should be willing to be pro-active in their treatment recovery and be able to use a computer programme

Unsupported (self referral) programmes for patients/carers

  • Unsupported programmes aim to help the parents and carers of children and young people with mental health difficulties understand what they are experiencing and how to support their child more effectively.
  • Unsupported programmes for parents and carers are self directed and do not come with reviews, risk management or any feedback

Please provide the parent/carer with the website and access code which provides access to three programmes:

  • Supporting an Anxious Child
  • Supporting an Anxious Teen
  • Supporting a Child with ADHD

Supported programmes

  • Supported programmes aim to help young people better understand their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours and how to make positive changes relating to their mental wellbeing. This is based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
  • Supported programmes come with tailored online reviews, risk management, and feedback to referrers upon discharge and therefore require a referral via sci-gateway/email

  • Low Mood and Anxiety for Teens

Refer via SCI Gateway...Mountainhall...Clinical Psychology...Psychology and choose Digital Interventions>select programme
