Radiology - MRI Requests from RIE ED

Please ensure that as much clinical information as possible is present on imaging requests.
This ensures that Radiologists have sufficient information to answer the specific clinical question that you are asking.

All requests must have a requester name, role and contact number.
These are requirements under IR(ME)R and if not present, the request will be discontinued. 

If scans require discussion before vetting and the requester cannot be contacted, scans will be put on hold with a note on TRAK to call the CT registrar.

 

Please note this flowchart only applies to requests from RIE ED for DCN MRI.

09:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday

You should call DCN Radiology to ensure scan is vetted and performed.

Out of Hours - (Mon-Fri 17:00-09:00, All Day Sat & Sun)

You should call RIE CT Radiologist to ensure scan is vetted and performed.
