Content management and governance

Authorship

The content in this toolkit has been developed by a multidisciplinary team of clinicians for use of Pain Management Programme participants, past and present.

 

Review and approval

Final content was signed off by Dr David Craig – Pain Management Programme lead.

The content will be considered for update 1 year from publication. Any minor updates brought to the attention will be dealt with on an "as needed" basis.

Content updates on the Right Decisions platform will be carried out by the Pain Management Programme team, with support from the Right Decision Service team when required.

RDS automated alerts when review is due will be sent to the Programme Manager responsible for the project, and the generic PMP inbox, ggc.pain.management@nhs.scot.

Evidence base

The content is based on robust evidence-based guidelines, including SIGN and NICE guidelines for Chronic Pain and British Pain Society guidelines for Pain Management Programmes.

Governance sign-off and ongoing development

The content of this toolkit was reviewed by the PMP multidisciplinary clinicians and signed off by the PMP Team Lead.  It has been signed off by the local governance group.

Monitoring and acting on feedback and complaints

The email for the Pain Management Programme is available in the “Key Contacts” section above and can be used to highlight any feedback or complaints.

Any messages received through the online feedback form will be automatically forwarded to the Pain Management Programme email.

The PMP team or Team Lead will address the feedback.

Risk assessment

The toolkit has been risk assessed in line with RDS Standard Operating Procedure.

User testing

The toolkit was user tested by both past and present participants of the Pain Management Programme.

User testing was carried out by the GGC Patient Experience and Public Involvement team and testers were asked to comment on ease of navigation, usability, and look of the toolkit.
