Preparing for your admission

Being admitted for a long admission can feel daunting and often patients don’t know what to bring. We hope that our packing checklist can help you prepare. 

As you can see in the video there isn’t a lot of space to store your clothes. We advise you to put clean clothes on every day and it may be helpful to note that unfortunately there is no laundry service within the hospital. Patients will usually ask a relative to this do this for them. We can provide patient gowns for you to wear during if required. 

We would encourage you to bring any medications that you are already on however if possible don’t bring your controlled drugs such as Oxycodone, Longtec, Shortec etc.
