What's on the HWB Website and App?

The HWB Website and App provides quality assured information and resources from the Glasgow City Health Improvement Team. This aims to support health improvement activity and education for children and young people. 

The content included within the HWB Website and App is intended for practitioners working with children and young people from early years through to young adulthood. This includes education staff, youth workers and those providing services and supports to children and young people. 

The HWB Website and App shares information on priority Health Topics and Resources that may support your work with young people in relation to these topics. These include planning tools and frameworks as well as resource packs including activities and lessons plans (both curricular and non-curricular). 

You can also find upcoming dates for health improvement training and other CPD opportunities in the Learning Opportunities (CPD) section . 

Useful contacts can be found on the homepage and include contacts for our locality health improvement teams as well as some key services and directories in Glasgow. 

Finally, recent school health and wellbeing data for children and young people in Glasgow and Scotland can also be found via the homepage.  

The content of the HWB Website and App is reviewed and update every 6 months. We value any feedback on the content, function or usability of the site. You can provide feedback here . 

How to use the HWB Website and App

Each page within the HWB Website and App contains a list of content or pages. You can click through these to find the information that you need. 

The Health Topics and Resources page contains information for Early Years listed at the top and below links to topic pages related to children and young people’s health and wellbeing.  

The Learning Opportunities (CPD) page provides links to our Glasgow City Health Improvement Training Calendar and other courses offered by our teams that do not sit within the training calendar. You will find information on each courses aims and learning outcomes and link to booking forms for any upcoming dates. 

Throughout the HWB Website and App there are links to external websites where resources or further information can be found. Please note that NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde are not responsible for the content provided on these external websites.  

You can search the HWB Website and App for the content you are looking for. At the top right hand corner of the screen there is a search bar where you can type what you would like to find. This will bring up the page in which you will find the content you are looking for.

Purpose

This app and the accompanying website provides Glasgow City HSCP Health Improvement Team an opportunity to streamline communication, share quality assured materials and create a consistent health and wellbeing offer across the City. It also provides Education staff with an enhanced experience when delivering various aspects of the Curriculum.

Organisations Involved in this App / Website

Glasgow City HSCP (Health & Social Care Partnership) Health Improvement Team: In Glasgow City there are three locality Health Improvement Teams - North East, North West and South. Within each locality team are staff who are involved in early years, children and young people work. Some of these staff have been involved in the development of this app/website.

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Library Network  The NHSGGC Library Network provides library and information services to all staff working within NHSGGC and its partner organisations.

As part of the National Decision Support Programme, NHS GGC Knowledge Services provide knowledge management expertise to support use of Right Decision Service tools.

Tactuum Ltd  – Tactuum is a software company based in Glasgow, with an office in the US. Tactuum’s mission is to improve healthcare services through the delivery of digital services supporting healthcare providers and patients. Tactuum provides the technology and digital expertise to deliver Right Decision Service tools for the National Decision Support Programme.#
