North West Youth Network

The North West Youth Network (NWYN) has representatives from a range of organisations providing support for young people's health and wellbeing within the North West of the city. The North West Youth Network send weekly updates to members around training & capacity building, local events, funding opportunities and more.

The network meet quarterly to share partner updates, discuss local issues affecting young people and their families, offer peer support, access training and development opportunities and plan partnership events.

The network has a ‘Your Voice’ sub-group that plans and hosts events for young people, by young people to engage with them and hear their views about what is important to young people in their communities.

The network has also recently hosted it's first Peer Support meeting for members. This sub-meeting was planned following an identified need at the networks quarterly meetings. The Peer Support meetings will create a safe space for conversation and support among peers by sharing practical learning and experiences to strengthen relationships and build capacity.

To become a member, you can get in touch via their mailbox: ggc.northwest.youthhealth@nhs.scot

South Youth Partnership

Currently there are over 200 members on the partnership email distribution list, representing approximately 90 different organisations. Membership is open to all youth, community, social care and education providers working with young people in the South of Glasgow.

Useful conversations and information sharing takes place at the meetings; partners have a wealth of knowledge in relation to issues affecting children and young people e.g. anti-social behaviour. Health Improvement's CPD calendar is also shared via this network.

The partnership meets four times a year, either online or in person. Anyone wishing to join the mailing list can contact jacqueline.chalmers5@nhs.scot
