Warning

Effective communication is key to building trust and understanding in any sexual or romantic relationships. It involves openly discussing feelings, needs and concerns while actively listening to your partner.

Good communication can help resolve conflicts, express affection and understand other perspectives. It’s important to approach conversations with honesty, patience and respect.

If communication becomes difficult within a relationship, seeking support from a relationship counsellor can help. They can provide tools and techniques to improve interactions and address underlying issues in relationships.

Communication doesn’t always have to be verbal – body language, facial expressions and changes in mood can communicate how someone is feeling.
