This means taking precautions to make sure that there is no risk of unintended pregnancy and/or sexually transmitted infections (STIs). Condoms are the only method that protects someone from both. Research tells us that many young people don’t think about the risk of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs). Caregivers should always talk about this when talking about sex and protection and encourage the use of condoms.
Condoms are available for free with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
Young people (13-17) can access contraception and screening for STIs at Sandyford
