All referrals to the Obstetric Anaesthetic Clinic are made through BadgerNet.

When a referral is made, an email with a summary attachment is sent to amh.anaesthetic@nhs.net to alert clinic leads. They should check this account regularly and vet the patients.

To access the account:

  • Log in to NHSmail with your own account on open your email.
  • Click on your name at the top right of the screen and choose ‘Open another mailbox…’
  • Type amh.anaesthetic@nhs.net in the box and press enter. Click ‘Open’ to open the account in a new window. The next time you do this, the account will appear as you begin typing the email address. Click on it, then click ‘Open’.

All referrals will also appear in Woman Lists under Anaesthetic Referrals in the Anaesthesia section. Women will stay in this list until a Specialist Review note with Anaesthetics as the Specialist Type is completed.
