Warning
Careful examination of oropharynx – remove with McGill's forceps if seen.
If no fishbone seen, soft tissue XR neck & urgent ENT OP referral – ENT@borders.scot.nhs.uk.
If patient unable to swallow needs urgent discussion with ENT BGH if available otherwise St Johns Hospital.
