Inform PICU and /or paediatric retrieval team.

Anaesthetist must be present.

Rapid sequence induction (RSI):

  • ketamine 1-2 mg/kg or
  • thiopental (thiopentone) 3-5 mg/IV/IO or
  • propofol (refer to local monograph).
