Actions

• Check Hb and send 1st G&S sample
• Observe in department for 2 hours after bleeding controlled
• Repeat observations hourly

After 2 hours of observation assess for following criteria:

Bleeding has stopped.

Hb above 100.

HR below 100, systolic BP above 100.

Patient mobilising safely with no recurrence of haemorrhage.

Patient has responsible other at home and easy return to hospital.

None of the above.
