Bell's Palsy

Who to refer
In general, patients with Bell’s palsy are not seen in Neurology, the exceptions to this are:
- Bilateral facial weakness
- Recurrent Bell’s palsy
- Continued progression of weakness beyond 3 weeks
- Other associated neurology (out with acceptable mild sensory symptoms).

- Please send Lyme serology in those with progressive or bilateral facial weakness.
