To provide the opportunity for Midwives and Obstetricians to undertake mandatory training in foetal heart monitoring and management of obstetric emergencies in a multidisciplinary setting. Midwives will also undertake an update in neonatal resuscitation.
This is in line with Scottish Government mandate 2018 for ALL Midwives and Obstetricians.
The format of the morning will include 3 bite-size PowerPoint presentations covering various topics and a 1 hour neonatal resuscitation update.
The afternoon will commence with a multidisciplinary 2 hour interactive foetal heart monitoring session with case studies. A 2 hour multidisciplinary, participatory obstetric emergency update will conclude the day.
