  • Teaching 830 – Tues/Wed/Thurs
  • Ensure SBARs up to date before evening handover - \paedsho . Include any jobs for evening/overnight
  • Add jobs for evening/overnight to H@N workbench
  • Not required to come to handover unless on long day but make sure someone aware of jobs for evening
  • Incomplete IDL box in corner CM – if no jobs please work through this. Read notes and then update and add that you have updated and authorise. No need to reprint.

A&E

  • Can be on A&E during day or just in evening
  • If during day pick up 9292 (crash bleep) from PARU handover at 9am
  • At end of evening shift hand over bleep to night FY/GPST
  • Introduce self to A&E consultant on arrival to A&E

OOH

  • Hold 9109 and 9292 (crash bleep)
  • First point of contact for wards - prescription requests, reviews and concern
  • Discuss with 9102 or 9424 if unsure (we expect questions, especially if not done paeds before)
  • Wheeze reviews, fluid reviews, blood gases
  • IDLs overnight – particularly patients needing medicines. Print and sign and put in pharmacy tray. Include draft at top
