What to expect at your appointments

First contact

When you first speak to your advisor its an opportunity to get to know each other and have a chat through what your expectations and your goals are.

There is no pressure to stop smoking before you meet your advisor or even set a quit at your first appointment! Our advisors will meet you where youre at and work with you to create a plan to support your goals.

Typically, we would offer 12 week’s worth of support, with your first 4 weeks being weekly contacts, dropping to fortnightly afterwards right through to 12 weeks. That being said, we offer person centred care and can often tailor our support to your own needs such as chatting to you weekly throughout your quit attempt or even past the 12 weeks.

We will provide you with all the information and advice you’ll need to make an informed decision about your quit attempt and allow you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

Quit date

We will aim to contact you on your quit date or within a few days of your quit date to see how you are. We will talk you through coping strategies and check your chosen NRT product is working for you.

A week into your quit you will receive your first shopping voucher worth £40!

Weeks 1-4

We will check in weekly, either by phone or face to face in a clinic, to continue to support you and be there for any questions you may have.

At week 4 you will receive your second shopping voucher worth £60!

Weeks 5-12

We usually drop to fortnightly support, however we do this based on how you're feeling and will always let you take the lead with how often you want to hear from us.

After your 12th week of being smokefree you’ll get a further supermarket voucher of £60.

Keep on keeping on

We would usually do one final catch up with you around 24 week after your quit date for £60 – meaning a total of £220 in vouchers!
