RDS Learning and support

Four new videos have been added to Guided tours of RDS within the Resources for end-users of RDS section. These are short (<5 min) learning byte videos and editors are encouraged to promote these to end-users. 

These video tutorials give end-users an introductory guide to the Right Decision Service user interface and cover the following four areas: 

• Introduction and Search 

• Search results 

• Favourites 

• Filters

Complementing the website video tutorials, the User guide - Introduction to the Right Decision Service (RDS) is also now live within Resources for end-users of RDS.

We’ve developed a new digital poster to promote the Right Decision Service (RDS) to resident doctors, timed specifically to support the April intake. You can access the poster here — please feel free to share it with any resident doctor contacts you may have. (They may need to zoom in to access the QR codes.)  

Alongside this, we’re offering RDS learning sessions during protected learning time, tailored for new resident doctors. We’d be grateful if you could engage with your Directors of Education to identify suitable sessions (noting that some Boards may already offer this). 

Where helpful, we’re also happy to deliver joint RDS learning sessions with local library staff. If you can help promote RDS to resident doctors or would like to arrange a session, please contact his.decisionsupport@nhs.scot. 

We have timed this offer to coincide with the April intake of new residents to introduce them to RDS, and hope it is helpful to them and to you. 

We encourage you to view and promote these flyers which have been created to raise awareness of Realistic medicine and develop health literacy through public libraries.
