New RDS toolkits - live and in development

The following toolkits have recently gone Live on the RDS: 

• Edinburgh Cancer Centre new nurse handbook 

This is an NHS Lothian toolkit to support newly qualified nurses (NQNs). 

• Framework for Effective Cancer Management (FECM) 

This is a Centre for Sustainable Delivery (CFSD) toolkit which supports implementation of the Scottish Government Framework for Effective Cancer Management. This provides guidance to help NHS Boards to achieve the national 62- and 31-day cancer waiting times standards.   

• General surgery pathways 

This is a Centre for Sustainable Delivery (CFSD) toolkit. Currently has an Inguinal hernia pathway with more to follow. 

• HIV transmission elimination 

This is a Public Health Scotland toolkit which helps users to find the most current data in relation to HIV in Scotland as well as highlighting the key role of Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) in lowering the risk of HIV transmission.  

• Urology pathways 

This is a Centre for Sustainable Delivery toolkit. This currently contains a Recurrent urinary tract infection pathway. 

A new pathway Carotid endarterectomy (CEA) is now live as part of the existing national vascular surgery pathways toolkit from the Centre for Sustainable Delivery (CFSD). As with all CFSD pathways content it is available as shared content. The Venous leg ulcer national pathway within the same toolkit has also been updated with the changes made live. 

The following toolkit is expected to go live soon: 

• Protected content - Renfrewshire child protection guidance (in development) 

This will be the first Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership toolkit to go live.
