Signs & symptoms
- Systemically unwell.
- Constant unremitting pain.
- Sudden onset, red, hot pyrexia or inflamed joint.
- Fever.
- Night pain.
- High inflammatory markers.
Risk factors
- PMH: Rheumatoid arthritis diabetes mellitus.
- Alcoholism/ IVDA.
- Recent surgery/ infection.
- Insect bite/ trauma with wounds.
- Poor living conditions.
