Addictions service
Objectives
Describe addictions services in West Lothian. Note that patients from different council areas may need to liaise with different services: this may need referral back to their GP. If they are an Edinburgh patient, more information in follow-up can be found on the RIE ED Emibank.
The West Lothian Alcohol and Drugs Partnership (ADP) is a multi-agency partnership that has strategic responsibility for coordinating actions to address local issues with alcohol and drugs.
Its members include Police Scotland, HMP Addiewell, West Lothian Council, NHS Lothian and the Voluntary Sector.
The WLADP has advice for smoking cessation, and drug and alcohol cessation, that patients can be directed to.
