Fit notes

If you are discharging a patient, they should be able to self-certify for one week that they cannot attend work. After this point they should seek GP follow-up for further "sick notes".

However it is worthwhile if we see the patient to issue a "Fit for Work" note. These are kept in a locked cupboard in the department - speak to the Nurse In Charge to access these.
