Point of care machines

We have point of care blood sugar ("BM") and ketone machines. Please handle these with care. If you are unsure how to use them, please ask someone who knows.

In an emergency you can use the "500000" override code for the blood gas machine.

However post emergency please contact labspoctteam@nhslothian.scot.nhs.uk to get a code - this team can also organise training and a code to use the blood gas machine.
