Notifiable diseases

On the relevant government websites you can find a list of notifiable diseases for Scotland, and England and Wales.

If you suspect or confirm a notifiable disease, you should:

• inform the NIC and EPIC
• isolate the patient and use appropriate PPE
• discuss with the infectious diseases team if clinically appropriate
• inform the public health team
• manage the patient as otherwise clinically relevant
