Procurator fiscal

In Scotland, the Procurator Fiscal is the public prosecutor. They are tasked to ensure that no crime has been committed. For those previously working in England, they have a similar (but not identical) role to coroners.

If you get a court citation you can, as medical staff, ask the procurator fiscal service for a standby. This is where (if granted!) you only need to go if they call you.
