SUDIC (Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood)

Warning

There are Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDIC) protocols and forms that can be found on the intranet.

It has been agreed with the Scottish Ambulance Service that all community SUDIC cases (including 16/17yo patients) should come to the ED (either SJH/RHCYP) for commencement of the SUDIC protocols.

These can be complex cases, and if unsure seek senior decision maker support. Liaising with colleagues at CYP may also be beneficial.
