All CT requests requested during the weekday in-hours (Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm) do not need to be phoned through to radiology unless:

  1. Especially emergent need e.g.
    1. Thrombolysis / thrombectomy
    2. Unstable trauma
  2. Unusual clinical situation which needs discussion with radiologist about best imaging modality

Outside these times (or if it gets nearer 5pm) you should phone the radiology team. From 5pm to 9pm this will be covered by the WGH. Overnight (9pm to 9am) this will be the RIE team. During the daytime at weekends there may be a radiologist on-site for discussion. See the phone numbers and contacts page for these numbers.
