Follow-up X-rays

Following a notifiable CXR incident, the NHS Lothian Medical Directorate want to re-emphasise how to order x-rays for future imaging (e.g. 6 week follow-up CXR).

1. Type the future date of the requested test when ordering the investigation
   1. This is on the right hand side of the investigation screen
   2. This will avoid the investigation potentially being actioned on the same day
2. Please put in the Clinical Details box, a guideline date when you want the imaging done
   1. Do not write in 6 weeks time - this just means that radiographers need to spend unnecessary time trying to work out when the requester wants the test done

By completing both of these we can reduce the risk of inappropriate early imaging.
