Objectives

Stroke thrombectomy at SJH ED

All staff at SJH ED

For stroke thrombectomy at SJH ED please see the following guidelines:

The thrombectomy service at SJH will run Monday-Friday 08:00-16:30. Between 8-9am, contact the on-call "tele stroke" team as there will not be a stroke consultant present at SJH. There may be stroke nurses at SJH who will be able to help.

Patients will generally be transferred directly to DCN angiography suite, however will only require transfer to RIE ED if needing resuscitation, or are intubated and ventilated.
