Please note:

  • Local chemotherapy antifungal prophylaxis may be tailored to individual regimens and cases.
  • Note: micafungin and isavuconazole are non-formulary and require discussion with Microbiology BEFORE decision to prescribe. 
  • Therapeutic monitoring of posaconazole levels is NOT routinely carried out in NHS Highland.
    Please discuss with Microbiology if this is thought to be necessary.

Advice may be required from the Haematology Consultant and/or Microbiologist regarding specific cases. Please seek this via email, phone or Switchboard, as routine.
