- Removed: Calcium acetate: Tablets (Phosex®) 1 gram (calcium 250mg or 6·2mmol/tablet). Dosage: Initially 1 tablet 3 times daily with meals, then adjusted according to plasma phosphate concentration.
- Added: Calcium acetate: Tablets (Renacet®) 475mg, 950mg. Dosage: Renacet film-coated tablets should be taken with some liquid during or immediately after meals. The 950mg tablets can be divided into equal halves for dosing but must not be chewed.
Take no more than 7 x 950mg tablets (6.65g) daily.
