Helena is the Lead Nurse for Queen Elizabeth National Spinal Injuries Unit, Neurology Specialties, Rehabilitation Medicine & OMFS Outpatients.

After qualifying as registered nurse in 1998, Helena started her career at Monklands General Hospital working in a surgical/urology ward. In 2000, she moved to the Queen Elizabeth National Spinal Unit where she found her passion for spinal injuries. Over the years she has enhanced her experience and knowledge working as an educator, Senior Charge Nurse and most recently as a Lead Nurse. She has expanded her knowledge and improved patient/staff outcomes by working collaboratively within Spinal, Neurosurgery and Neuro medicine.

Helena says "t is an honour to lead a fantastic team who demonstrate passion, commitment and drive to ensure clinical standards are safe, effective and person centred at every opportunity."
