Philipshill Ward
Philipshill is the rehabilitation ward of the National Spinal Injures Unit. Drew Campbell is the Senior Charge Nurse for Philipshill and has 24 hour continuing responsibility for this 32 bed ward. Philipshill is also home to the Respiratory Control Unit - This has the capacity for four ventilated or respiratory compromised patients. It also has the benefit of two step down beds which are often used to ease the transition from Edenhall to Philipshill.
Philipshill is divided into Team A and Team B. This allows our nursing team to get to know those going through rehabilitation and allows care to be tailored to an individuals needs. A named nurse will be allocated to manage your nursing care during your stay. If they are not on duty, another member of staff will be responsible for your care.
More detailed information about the ward and the rehabilitation process can be seen in the Your Inpatient Journey section of the app.
Should you or your family have any concerns or questions, please speak to Drew.
